<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make no residue of a light shielding film resin remain within a contact hole even in the case where a developer flows in one direction in a process of removing the light shielding film resin by the developer . <P>SOLUTION: A liquid crystal display device with a color filter formed on a substrate on which a thin film transistor has been formed, comprises a light shielding film on said thin film transistor and on a data signal line connected to a source electrode of said thin film transistor.
