<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To display the distance to a goal which is not in an image plane as information in the image plane in a state in which a main subject such as a plurality of racehorses, jockeys, etc., is photographed during photography for relay broadcasting of sports, especially, horse races. <P>SOLUTION: The photography system includes photography means of photographing a subject, range finding means of measuring a subject distance of the subject within the photographic field angle of the photography means, rotation means of rotating the photography means in a pan and a tilt direction, support means of supporting the rotation means in a predetermined place, pan and tilt angle detection means of detecting a pan angle and a tilt angle of the rotation means, and a distance calculation means of calculating the distance between the subject and a reference surface as a plane containing the direction of an optical axis and a perpendicular direction at a predetermined pan angle of the rotation means based upon the subject distance obtained by the range finding means and the pan angle and tilt angle obtained by the pan and tilt angle detection means. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
