<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve engine start in an abnormal off-state of a driving relay by adding the lowest number of parts. <P>SOLUTION: The starter driving device includes a pinion driving relay RLp provided to a first path for supplying power to a pinion driving part 12 and a motor driving relay RLm provided to a second path for supplying power to a motor 13. A relay RLf for failure is also provided to a third path that links an intermediate point between the pinion driving relay RLp and the pinion driving part 12 with an intermediate point between the motor driving relay RLm and the motor 13. When an occurrence of an abnormal off-state in which either one of the pinion driving relay RLp or the motor driving relay RLm cannot be turned on and remains in an off-state is detected, cranking is performed using the relay RLf for failure. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
