<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide carbon microparticles containing a porous structure and having a narrow particle diameter distribution and specific size, to provide a simple manufacturing process for porous carbon microparticles having a narrow particle diameter distribution and good quality, and to provide a use of the same. <P>SOLUTION: This carbon microparticles are manufactured as follows. Polymer A which is a polyacrylonitrile copolymer composed of a copolymer of acrylonitrile-based monomer and a hydrophilic vinyl monomer, or the like, and a polymer B of a different kind, are mixed with an organic solvent and an emulsion is formed, then it is contacted with a poor solvent for the polymer A and the polymer A is precipitated to obtain synthetic resin microparticles each containing child-particles and finally the synthetic resin microparticle containing child-particles is burned to be carbonized. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
