<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wheel bearing device with a rotation speed detector, which has the reliability improved by preventing entry of contamination into a detection part by improving muddy water resistance. <P>SOLUTION: A sensor cover 20 is formed by press working from a steel sheet and has a cylindrical fitting part 20a to be press-fitted to an outer periphery of an end of an outer member 5 and an inner part 20b extending therefrom radially inward. A mounting hole 22 is formed in the sensor cover 20. A rotation speed sensor 21 is mounted into the mounting hole 22. A sealing member 23 is integrally joined by vulcanization bonding to the inner part 20b of the sensor cover 20 and an annular recess 24 is formed in a shoulder 13 of an outer joint member 11. In the annular recess 24, a sealing member 23 is disposed, and a side lip 23a of the sealing member 23 is in slide contact with a sidewall 24a of the annular recess 24 with a predetermined axial interference.
