PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a fiber-reinforced thermoplastic resin in which the occurrence of voids is reduced, the fiber content is good, and fiber meandering is prevented.

SOLUTION: The method for producing the fiber-reinforced thermoplastic resin includes an arrangement process in which a thermoplastic resin layer 11 made of a thermoplastic resin is arranged on one side of a reinforcement fiber sheet 10 constituted of reinforcement fibers made of long fibers, and a network sheet 12 made of a material which is not melted at the melting temperature of the thermoplastic resin is arranged on the other side of the reinforcement fiber sheet 10 to obtain a laminate and an impregnation process in which the laminate is heated and pressurized at a temperature of at least the melting temperature of the thermoplastic resin and below the melting temperature of the network sheet 12 to make the reinforcement fiber sheet 10 and the network sheet 12 be impregnated with the thermoplastic resin.
