METHOD FOR INDUCING DIFFERENTIATION OF STEM CELL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for differentiating to pancreas β cells from stem cells such as ES cells or iPS cells without using a virus or a gene.

SOLUTION: The method for introducing differentiation from stem cells to pancreas cells comprises introducing Pdx-1 protein once or more times between the 5th day and the 7th day after starting cultivation of the stem cells derived from a mammal, introducing NeuroD protein once or more times between the 9th day and the 11th day and introducing MafA protein once or more times between the 13th day and the 15th day.
