WIRE GRID POLARIZATION PLATE AND ITS MANUFACTURING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method for enhancing the yield of a wire grid polarization plate and a wire grid polarization plate which is produced by using the same and which is excellent in terms of optical properties.

SOLUTION: In a manufacturing method of a wire grid polarization plate including a step for forming on a surface of a substrate with two substantially parallel sides concavities and convexities extending in oblique direction with respect to the two sides and a step for forming a conductor by depositing a conductive substance on the substrate surface, a deposition source is provided at an angle of 5° or more and less than 45° with respect to the vertical direction of the substrate surface and in oblique direction in which the concavities and convexities extend. The substrate is cut off in parallel and/or vertical direction with respect to the two sides.
