<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To open enclosed toner for replenishment by a simple method before using a developing device in which a two-component developer is used. <P>SOLUTION: A toner conveying chamber 41 surrounded by a cylindrically curved surface is disposed between a developer storage chamber 33 and a toner storage chamber 34. The toner conveying chamber is formed to be a cylindrical cavity, and a toner inlet 43a is formed in a partitioning wall 43 disposed between the toner conveying chamber and the toner storage chamber. In the cylindrical cavity, a cylindrical shield member 46 for shielding the toner inlet is disposed while being fitted along the cylindrical curved surface, and a toner conveying member 44 is disposed with its center axis aligning with that of the shield member. When the shield member is located so as to shield the toner inlet, the shield member comes in contact with the toner conveying member and the driving force in the moving direction is transmitted from the toner conveying member to the shield member, and when the shield member moves to a position at which the toner inlet is opened, the shield member is released from the contact with the toner conveying member. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
