<p>The device (1) has a power chuck holding a workpiece, and a servomotor (11) connected with a movement converter (31) via an intermediate element (38) i.e. shaft, for triggering clamping movement using a sliding sleeve (51). The converter and a force storage unit (41) are utilized in a housing (21) that is coupled with a machine spindle. The sliding sleeve is decoupled from the servomotor, and the housing is connected with the movement converter in a fixed manner via the sliding sleeve in a clamping position of the device. The shaft is designed as a reduction gear unit. An independent claim is also included for a method for controlling a servomotor of a clamping device.</p> |
