The carrier (7) has a carrier body (19) comprising an advancing section (21) formed as a chute (25) with a chute profile at a lower front side for enabling smooth overflow of goods that are suspended at a guideway of a suspension conveyor system. The carrier body has an overrun section (23) formed as a hook (37) for hooking the goods and carrying the goods along the guideway. The advancing section has a fin-type extension provided along the chute and extended to sides of the chute. The hook has another fin-type extension provided at free hook ends. An independent claim is also included for a suspension conveyor system comprising a carrier.
