<p>The device (10) has a sealing shoe (18) partially enclosing a rotatably driven drum (12) for formation of a sealing region (19). A firing channel is provided in a region of a discharge zone (16). The firing channel is formed from cavities (13) and the sealing shoe, where the cavities are present in the discharge zone during rotation of the drum. An inlet introduces constant compressed airflow into the firing channel for firing rod-shaped items (14) present in the firing channel. The inlet is connected with the adjacent cavities. An independent claim is also included for a method for transferring rod-shaped items from a cartridge into a conveyor pipe for a tobacco processing industry.</p> |
