PURPOSE: A securities forgery discriminating apparatus and a discriminating method using the same are provided to accurately determine whether the securities is truth or not by reducing the error of a measured value which is measured in a measuring part. CONSTITUTION: An optical signal generator(10) generates an optical signal by a fixed voltage value and transmits the optical signal through optical fiber. A light emitting part(20) emits the optical signal which is transmitted by being connected with the optical signal generator through the optical fiber as laser. A probe(30) projects the laser and receives the laser which is reflected form an object. A sensor part(40) senses the laser which is received. A measuring part(50) measures a signal which is detected in the sensor part and compares the signal with a reference value. The measuring part changes the signal into an indication signal and outputs. A display device(60) is connected to the measuring part and indicates the indication signal.
