<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To transmit an audio signal and a control signal to be used for control on a reception side in a time-division multiplex manner together with a video signal. <P>SOLUTION: A signal transmission apparatus is equipped with a signal transmission device 11 including a time-base compression unit 101 which time-base compresses the audio signal and a multiplexing unit 102 which transmits the control signal and the time-base compressed audio signal to a signal reception device 12 through a data line 106 in a blanking period of a video signal in the time-division multiplex manner; and the signal reception device 12 including a separation unit 103 which separates the signal having the video signal, the control signal, and the time-base compressed audio signal transmitted from the signal transmission device and multiplexed in a time-division manner into the video signal, control signal, and the time-base compressed audio signal, and a time-base expansion unit 104 which expands the time-base compressed audio signal. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
