<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hat which can simply be produced in many kinds and in small quantities, can surely hold a shape as a constant hat even from such a material as itself incapable of making the shape as the hat, such as thin Japanese paper, and can easily be folded away. <P>SOLUTION: The hat is formed by arranging an elastic flexible linear material 3 according to the three-dimensional shape of a crown portion 1 to form a frame, and then adhering a sheet material 4 to the frame of the linear material 3 to form the crown portion 1 to be put on at least the head portion of a person. The linear material 3 is spirally arranged or vertically arranged in a state comprising a plurality of rings, to form the frame. A thin material not having stiffness such as Japanese paper can be used as the sheet material 4 to be adhered to the frame.
