<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a washer-dryer capable of determining cloth quality of laundry in a highly accurate way without using a water level detection unit or weight detection unit with high accuracy. <P>SOLUTION: Water is supplied until a detection result obtained by a water level detection unit 54 reaches predetermined water level, then a drive motor 5 rotates a drum 4. At this point, laundry agitated in the drum 4 sufficiently absorbs water, causing water level in a water tank 3 to decline. After that, a first detection result obtained by a weight detection unit 50 is acquired, then water is supplied until the detection result obtained by the water level detection unit 54 again reaches the predetermined water level. The quantity of the second water supply corresponds to the quantity of water absorption by the laundry. Then a second detection result obtained by the weight detection unit 50 is acquired. By subtracting the first detection result from the second detection result, the quantity of the second water supply, that is, the quantity of water absorption by the laundry to be an index for determining cloth quality of the laundry can be accurately obtained.
