<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve lowering power consumption of receiving means during operation in a receiving device including the receiving means that receives digitization signals, especially a GPS receiving device. <P>SOLUTION: The receiving device comprises: a receiving means for receiving digitization signals; and a power consumption mode setting means for setting a high power consumption mode with high power consumption or a first low power consumption mode with lower power consumption than the high power consumption mode to the receiving means by setting a predetermined sampling rate to the receiving means. The power consumption mode setting means sets the predetermined sampling rate to the receiving means when strength of signals from the receiving means is lower than the predetermined threshold level, thereby setting the high power consumption mode, and sets the predetermined sampling rate lower than the sampling rate at the high power consumption mode to the receiving means when strength of signals from the receiving means is higher than the predetermined threshold level, thereby setting the first low power consumption mode. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
