<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal device in which the surface of an interlayer dielectric can be made to be a continuous flat surface in a display region and a peripheral region, and also to provide an electronic apparatus equipped with the liquid crystal device. <P>SOLUTION: In an element substrate 10 of the liquid crystal device 100, on the surface of the interlayer dielectric 72 (first interlayer dielectric), first through-holes (display region-side first through-holes 72a and peripheral region-side first through-holes 72b) are opened, of which the opening density in the peripheral region 10b is lower as compared with the display region 10a. On the surface of the interlayer dielectric 73 (second interlayer dielectric), second through-holes (display region-side second through-holes 73a and peripheral region-side second through-holes 73b) are opened, of which the opening density in the peripheral region 10b is higher as compared with the display region 10a. Due to this fact, a level difference 72x is formed on the surface of the interlayer dielectric 72, but such a level difference 72x is offset by the difference in polishing speed when the surface of the interlayer dielectric 73 is polished. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
