<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plastic optical fiber cable capable of suppressing transmission loss caused by heat treatment under high temperature environment. <P>SOLUTION: A plastic optical fiber includes a core comprising a polymethylmethacrylate and at least one sheath layer arranged around the core.
