<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inexpensively restrain a lowering of film formation precision caused by thermal expansion of a recording medium. <P>SOLUTION: This film forming device or the like includes a recording head for delivering a droplet toward the recording medium, and a stage formed, on the mounting face, with a suction hole having a mounting face for mounting the recording medium and for sucking the recording medium, and a nonsuction hole comprising a recess. The recording medium is fixed in a position of the suction hole, when the recording medium sucked on the stage is thermally expanded, and the recording medium is separated from an upper face of the stage in a position of the recess, to form a protrusion around the position of the recess as the center. A wrinkle is formed in the recording medium as a result thereof. Consequently, a displacement caused by the thermal expansion of the recording medium is absorbed by the protrusion, to restrain the situation that a formation position of a dot onto the recording medium is shifted from a target position.
