<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively alleviate a problem that a content displayed on one display unit is reflected onto another display unit each other even if a terminal device is configured to have two housings, each with a display unit, which are foldably hinged via a hinge part. <P>SOLUTION: When an opening angle between display unit housings is detected by an opening angle detection unit 17 and if the opening angle is less than a predetermined angle (for example, 90°), then a control unit 11 controls the luminance of at least one display unit of display units 4 and 5 provided in the two housings according to the opening angle.
