<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an overvoltage of a battery when generating electric power using engine exhaust heat. <P>SOLUTION: A heat exchanger 6 for performing heat exchange between a coolant 4 and a working cooling medium 5 is connected to a cooling liquid flow channel of an engine 1. A cooling medium circulation line 9 including a turbine 10 coupled with a power generator 11, a condenser 12, and a cooling medium pump 13 is connected to a cooling medium outlet 6d and a cooling medium inlet 6c of the heat exchanger 6. A battery 14 is connected to the power generator 11. A voltmeter 17 for measuring a voltage of the battery 14 and a controller 18 for controlling the operation of the cooling medium pump 13 on the basis of the measurement value are provided. The heat exchanger 6 performs heat exchange between the coolant 4 heated by cooling the engine 1 and the working cooling medium 5, and the power generator 11 is driven by a vapor 5a of the generated working cooling medium via the turbine 10 to generate power. In a range not generating an overvoltage in the voltage of the battery 14 measured by the voltmeter 17, in response to the increase or decrease of the voltage, the amount of the working cooling medium 5 to be supplied to the heat exchanger 6 from the cooling medium pump 13 is continuously decreased or increased. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
