PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To properly detect fraud or abnormal conditions to properly count the number of game balls.

SOLUTION: A normal passage determiner 162 determines normal passage of a game ball based on detection of normal detection order from detection results of proximity switches 161-1 and 161-2 of a dual proximity switch 101, and outputs the determination results as a normal passage determination signal. An abnormal condition determiner 163 outputs an abnormal condition detection signal for representing the detection of abnormal detection order based on detection results of the proximity switches 161-1 and 161-2 of the dual proximity switch 101. An output composite unit 153 outputs a detection signal of three kinds of voltages based on the normal passage determination signal and the abnormal condition detection signal. This invention may be applied to a game machine.
