<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bearing device for a wheel capable of preventing deterioration of strength/service life of an exterior member, preventing occurrence of electrolytic corrosion on a knuckle, and enhancing reliability. <P>SOLUTION: The bearing device for the wheel of a second to fourth generation structure is equipped, on the outer periphery, integrally with a vehicle body mounting flange 2b which is fastened to a light alloy knuckle K via a fixing bolt 7 and with a pilot part 18 which is internally fitted to the knuckle K, and is equipped, on the inner periphery, with an exterior member 2 in which a plurality of rows of outside rolling surfaces 2a, 2a are integrally formed. In this bearing device, there is formed a water-repellent electric insulation film, on a side face 19 on the inner side of the vehicle body mounting flange 2b that comes into contact with the pilot part 18 of the exterior member 2 and the knuckle K, on the side face 19 on the inner side of at least the vehicle body mounting flange 2b from the vehicle body mounting flange 2b of the exterior member 2 to the outer periphery on the outer side, and on the outer periphery of this vehicle body mounting flange 2b to the outer periphery on the side of the vehicle body mounting flange 2b. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
