<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To measure the pulse waves of a living body after suppressing the influence of body motion noise. <P>SOLUTION: A detector 2 of a pulse wave measuring system 9 detects the body motion of a measurement part and sends an acceleration vector of the measurement part to a control part 11. The control part 11 extracts acceleration in the Z-axis direction from the acquired acceleration vector, carries out numerical integration of the acceleration to compute speed v in a gravity direction, and refers to a look-up table 121 to specify light emitting element driving information corresponding to the computed speed v. The control part 11 controls light emission by transmitting a control signal corresponding to the specified light emitting element driving information, to a light emitting part 31 of a measuring instrument 3. The control part 11 then acquires pulse wave information from a light receiving signal of a light receiving part 32 and carries out differential operation to the pulse wave information to compute speed pulse waves and acceleration pulse waves. The control part 11 evaluates the circulatory organ of the living body based on the above.
