<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a clamp capable of inhibiting rotation of the clamp to right and left direction to produce misregistration when lifting a joint for square columns, leading surely and safety lifting operation. <P>SOLUTION: The clamp 10 includes a cam 19 interlocking with lifting operation of a suspension ring 12 to project into an opening of a body and a V-shape step 22 having opening angle corresponding to the shape of a joint 30 for square columns to be formed as plan view of V-shape and, while abutting to a prism side surface of the joint for square columns which is going to lift up an inner side surface of the V-shape step, is composed to grip the corner part of an end flange of the joint concerned for square columns between the cam and the V-shape step to lift up, wherein a flange stopper 29 which is open in conformity with the shape of corner part of a flange 32 of the joint for square columns is prepared above the V-shape step and the flange stopper is abutted to two side surfaces of the corner part of the flange of the joint for square columns for lifting operation.
