<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical wave guide structure including an optical wave guide which has a high degree of freedom for a design of a pattern shape, allows a core portion (optical path) to be formed with superior dimensional accuracy in a simple method and is superior in heat resistance and durability, and an electronic device. <P>SOLUTION: An optical wave guide structure 1 includes: a substrate 2 having conductor layers 5; an optical wave guide 9 which is configured such that a core layer 93 and cladding layers 91, 92 are laminated; a light-emitting element 3 disposed on one end of the optical wave guide 9; and a light-sensitive element 4 disposed on the other end of the optical wave guide 9. Further, these components constitute an optical wiring 98, and a coating layer 7 is provided so as to coat the optical wiring 98.
