<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cable holding tool with which axial rotation can be easily performed with holding a cable without giving any unnecessary stress thereto and with which a terminal at an end of a mobile power cable or the like can be easily connected to a terminal of a corresponding apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: A holder 11 can be divided into symmetrical divided holders 111, 112 which are assembled and fixed at a mounting portion 113. A cable chuck part 12 includes a plurality of chuck pieces 120 in which a shape of a surface in contact with a cable CBL is a part of a cylindrical surface and which can hold the cable CBL between the chuck pieces 120 arranged diagonal. A handle mechanism 13 includes a handle bar 131 provided an outside of the holder 11 and its operating portion 132. With the handle bar 131, each of the chuck pieces 120 can be moved with respect to a center axis of the cable CBL by turning the operating part 132 (S1).
