<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an intermediate transfer cleaning unit capable of suppressing deterioration in quality of a print image by preventing a cleaning blade of the intermediate transfer cleaning unit from being deteriorated by a discharge product generated when a charging device performs charging operation and to provide an image forming apparatus having the intermediate transfer cleaning unit. <P>SOLUTION: A cleaning blade 12 formed of an insulating elastic member comprises a front end 12a and a base part 12b which is arranged in a case 11. A zeolite layer which absorbs the discharge product is formed on both sides of the cleaning blade 12. The front end 12a of the cleaning blade 12 is in contact with a surface of an intermediate transfer belt 45, and thus residual toner on the intermediate transfer belt 45 is scraped and is collected in the case 11 as the intermediate transfer belt 45 rotates. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
