<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a battery module structured by laminating a plurality of electric cells, into which a short-circuit current locally flows and that enables to reduce abnormal heating generated by the current when a conductive foreign substance passes through an outer casing of the module and the short-circuit occurs in the module. <P>SOLUTION: Internal short-circuit detection plates are inserted to between predetermined number of laminated electric cells structuring a battery module. A short-circuit state between the internal short-circuit detection plates is monitored by a conduction detection unit disposed at an external unit. When the short-circuit state is detected, positive and negative electrode output terminals of the battery module is short-circuited by external short-circuit means such as a relay and a bypass passage is disposed so as to prevent the battery module from concentrating heat generation. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
