<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide ceramics that achieves downsizing and thinning light-emitting diodes and possesses improved reflection characteristics. <P>SOLUTION: Ceramics made of a baked mixture of alumina and zirconia are used for a reflector, a light-emitting diode (1) using the reflector and a light-emitting diode package (2) comprised thereof. Specifically, the content of zirconia is 20-50 wt.%, and the particle diameter of zirconia is smaller than the particle diameter of alumina, or 2-5 wt.% of a barium compound is added to the mixture of alumina and zirconia. The light-emitting diode (1) comprises the light-emitting diode package (2) in which a cover body (5) has an opening (8) formed thereon and having a reflection surface (9) and the cover body (5) is attached on a base body (4) for mounting a light-emitting diode element (3). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
