<p>The chemical injection device (100) comprises two piston-operating mechanisms (130), each of which advances the piston of a syringe, a main bolus condition-determining part (171) that determines the chemical injection conditions for the main bolus, a test bolus condition-determining part (172) that determines the chemical injection conditions for the test bolus wherein, prior to the main bolus, the chemicals are injected in volumes that are smaller than the injection volumes for the main bolus, and a controller (161), which creates an injection protocol according to the injection conditions determined by the test bolus condition-determining part (172) and the main bolus condition-determining part (171) so that the chemicals will be injected by a series of operations wherein after observing a previously established injection interruption interval following the test bolus, the main bolus is injected, and controls the operation of the piston-operating mechanisms (130) according to the injection protocol.</p> |
