A pedal simulator assembly includes a housing having a bore and an input piston slideably mounted within the bore for reciprocating movement therein. A spring exerts a force on the input piston when the piston travels in a first direction to provide a feedback force. A member engages the input piston to provide a progressive rate of friction between the input piston and the member as the input piston advances in the first direction.
