Seat, the sitting part of which is divided to provide differential support in order to eliminate cardiovascular problems, problems with blood circulation and the highly debilitating and very expensive lower back problems by allowing everybody to be seated at a sufficient height (550 mm) for lengthy periods of time while at the same time, without need for manipulation, allowing them to perform active leg exercises consisting in combined movements of parting, raising and lowering each of their two thighs which are supported but work against elastic or pneumatic forces acting on their thigh supports (2 and 3) which are driven separately by the locomotive muscles and, in addition, firmly hold variable thigh postures at asymmetric obtuse angles (from 90° to 120°) of inclination with respect to the torso, which is invariably vertical, thus avoiding the unfavourable horizontal position of the thighs (which causes rounding of the back). The seat according to the invention is intended to be used at computer work stations and is particularly beneficial for the many people there are of larger size. |
