The present invention provides an electrolyte solution, which is used for a super capacitor such as an electric double-layer capacitor or the like, has a low generation rate of gas even at high temperature, and shows excellent high-temperature reliability, and the invention also comprises the super capacitor which incorporates the same. The electrolyte solution comprises: a solvent mixture which contains at least one solvent selected from the group consisting of propionitrile and gamma-butyrolactone, alkyl gamma- butyrolactone, propylene carbonate, glutaronitrile, sulfolane and alkyl sulfolane; and an electrolyte salt.
