Provided is 1,1-bis[(ethenyloxy)methyl]cyclohexane, which is a novel compound represented by formula (I). The compound is less odorous, less volatile, and less irritative to the skin, has low toxicity, and is useful as a starting material for polymerizable compositions which have excellent curability, adhesion, and transparency in the ultraviolet light region. The compound has special reactivity with itself or with other compounds. Also provided is a process for producing the compound.
