The present invention discloses a method and device for selecting a transmitting mode of antenna data. In the above method, a transmitting terminal determines a data transmitting mode suitable for a receiving terminal from a beam forming (BF) mode and a spatial multiplexing beam forming (SM+BF) mode according to channel state information; and the transmitting terminal transmits data in the determined data transmitting mode. According to the technical solutions provided by the present invention, the problem that the beam forming and the spatial multiplexing beam forming can not be flexibly selected as the data transmitting mode to transmit data according to the system channel condition because of the lack of the solution for selecting the data transmitting mode from the beam forming and the spatial multiplexing beam forming in related technology is solved. The link stability is enhanced and the system throughput is improved.
