PURPOSE: A helical gear cold sizing mold is provided to prevent the degradation of size accuracy of a helical gear by cold-sizing the helical gear preformed through hot forging. CONSTITUTION: A helical gear cold sizing mold is configured as follows. A preformed helical gear is fixed between upper and lower plates(1,2) by a support(9) and a piston(5). The helical gear is meshed with helical teeth(11) of a guide(10) installed in a lower housing(12). When a helical tool(8) fixed to an upper housing(7) is lowered, the upper and lower housings are coupled together and moved along the helical teeth, thereby sizing the tooth shape of the preformed helical gear. |
