<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a waterproof moisture permeable fabric capable of enhancing the mechanical strength such as abrasion resistance, tensile strength, etc. related to a waterproof moisture permeable layer, capable of especially suppressing the lowering of the mechanical strength due to swelling in a case that the waterproof moisture permeable layer made of a hydrophilic non-porous resin is used and capable of being adjusted in its expansion and contraction ratio corresponding to application. <P>SOLUTION: The waterproof moisture permeable fabric 1 is equipped with a base material 2 becoming surface cloth and the waterproof moisture permeable layer 3 becoming back cloth and the base material 2 is integrally laminated and formed to one side of the waterproof moisture permeable layer 3 in a contact state while a reinforcing members 4 are united with the other surface of the waterproof moisture permeable layer 3. The moisture permeable cells 5, which are partitioned by the reinforcing members 4 to be demarcated in a large number of cells, are formed to the waterproof moisture permeable layer 3 and the waterproof moisture permeable layer 3 is exposed from the demarcated moisture permeable cells 5.
