PURPOSE: A method and a device for transmitting a reference signal in a relay communication system are provided to obtain channel state information between a relay station and terminal. CONSTITUTION: An antenna allocation unit allocates a plurality of antenna ports(101) not to be overlapped to a relay station. A transmission unit transmits a reference signal for measuring a channel through the antenna port to a terminal. A receiving unit receives channel state information from the terminal. The transmission unit notifies the antenna port information which is allocated to the relay station to the relay station or the terminal through an upper layer signal.
