A hazy polyester film comprises thermoplastic polyester as main constituent; barium sulfate with a mean particle size of 0.1-0.5 mu m, expressed as d 5 0; and optionally UV stabilizer as a light stabilizer. The film has thickness of 10-100 mu m. An independent claim is included for a process of producing polyester film.
