A method of measuring a structure (510) on a medical image (400) is provided, the structure (510) having a perimeter. A bidirectional measurement object (550) is displayed on the medical image, the bidirectional measurement object (550) comprising a first portion (A) and a second portion (B). The first portion (A) and the second portion (B) cross each other, comprise perpendicular straight lines, and re moveable, relative to each other. The first (A) and second (B) portions may be aligned with the long and sort axes of a tumour, and the lengths of those axes then measured and displayed. |
