PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color image forming apparatus improved in taking-out property of paper and reduced in apparatus body size, while achieving shortening of first print time and stabilization of image quality.SOLUTION: The color image forming apparatus is equipped with: a plurality of photoreceptor drums (image carriers) 2a to 2d arranged in tandem; an intermediate transfer belt (intermediate transfer body) 7 to which toner images carried on the photoreceptor drums 2a to 2d are superimposed and transferred; and a secondary transfer roller 10 which transfers the toner images superimposed and transferred to the intermediate transfer belt 7 to the paper conveyed along a conveyance path S1 in the apparatus body 11. The plurality of photoreceptor drums 2a to 2d are arranged in a front-and-rear direction under the intermediate transfer belt 7, the conveyance path S1 is arranged nearly in a perpendicular direction on an inner side of the apparatus body 100, and the secondary transfer roller 10 and the fixing device 21 are arranged along the conveyance path S1. Then, the paper on which the toner image has been fixed is ejected toward a front side from the inner side of the apparatus body 100. |
