PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal device wherein poor curing of a sealant can be suppressed.SOLUTION: In the liquid crystal device, a moisture curable initiator is included in a sealant 52. The moisture curable initiator is an initiator which absorbs moisture to promote a curing reaction. The moisture curable initiator uses moisture included in the atmosphere or the liquid crystal device to promote the curing reaction of the sealant. Since the moisture curable initiator absorbs moisture from a surface of the sealant 52, the curing reaction is promoted on the surface of the sealant 52. Therefore, poor curing of the surface of the sealant 52, which causes the problem of elution of impurities to liquid crystal, is suppressed. |
