METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR GROUP-BASED AUTHENTICATION IN MACHINE TO MACHINE COMMUNICATION SYSTEMS

Disclosed is a method for group-based authentication in machine to machine communication systems, which includes: an authorization center generates group authentication parameters according to the subscribed group information of the Machine Type Communication (MTC) equipment, and sends the group authentication parameters to an Access Security Management Equipment (ASME); the ASME generates authorization parameters for each MTC equipment according to the generated group authentication parameters, and authorizes the MTC equipments in the group. Also disclosed is a system for group-based authentication in machine to machine communication systems, which includes: MTC equipments, an ASME, and an authorization center; the authorization center, for generating group authentication parameters according to the subscribed group information of the MTC equipment, and sending the group authentication parameters to the ASME; the ASME, for generating authorization parameters for each MTC equipment according to the generated group authentication parameters, and authorizing the MTC equipments in the group. The authentication efficiency of MTC equipments is enhanced greatly.
