<p>Provided is a battery which can efficiently discharge the gas in a power generation element that is produced during charging or when electrolyte penetrates into the power generation element, and which can obtain a stable output. A first current collector and a second current collector are provided to connect a power generation element, which comprises a stacked positive electrode and a band-shaped negative electrode wound into a flat shape, to an external terminal structure for a positive electrode and negative electrode. The first current collector is connected to a part of both positive electrode stacked parts of a pair of positive electrode stacked parts which are positioned at one end of the power generation element in the width direction, or to a part of one positive stacked part of the pair, or to the entirety of one positive electrode stacked part of the pair. The second current collector is connected to a part of both negative electrode stacked parts of a pair of negative electrode stacked parts which are positioned at the other end of the power generation element in the width direction and extend longitudinally, or to a part of one of the negative electrode stacked parts of the pair, or to the entirety of one negative electrode stacked part of the pair. The connection position between the first current collector and the positive electrode stacked part and the connection position between the second current collector and the negative electrode stacked part are set so as to pass through the center of the power generation element in the width direction, and to be asymmetric in accordance with a second virtual surface which is perpendicular to a first virtual surface.</p> |
