摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for quickly identifying a Salmonella serovar by multiply detecting genes specific to the Salmonella serovar.SOLUTION: First, the genes specific to the Salmonella main serovar (Salmonella Typhimurium, Choleraesuis, Enteritidis, Dublin, and Gallinarum) are comprehensively extracted in silico (on a computer). The serovar specificities of the extracted genes are then investigated by utilizing >3,700 isolated wild-type Salmonella strains. As a result, it is found that the genes specific to the Salmonella main serovar are present and the Salmonella serovar can be discriminated by using the genes as indices.
