PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the amount of solder to be used for soldering a core tube and a winding tube in a manufacturing process of a heat exchanger.SOLUTION: This invention relates to a joining apparatus which joins a core tube (2) with a winding tube (3). The joining apparatus includes a half-finished product moving mechanism (20) for moving a half-finished product (4) constituted of the straight core tube (2) and the winding tube (3) which is spirally wound around the core tube (2) in an axial direction of the core tube (2), and installed in a posture in which the axial direction of the core tube (2) is the horizontal direction, a rotation-driving mechanism (10) for rotating the half-finished product (4) in the circumferential direction of the core tube (2), a gas burner (30) for heating a part of the half-finished product (4) in the axial direction, and a solder feeding mechanism (41) for feeding solder between the core tube (2) and the winding tube (3) located at the site heated by the gas burner (30) out of the half-finished product (4).
