PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve response without increasing a processing load of a server when a receiver acquires EPG (Electric Program Guide) data from the server through a network.SOLUTION: The receiver is provided with: a program information receiving unit which receives broadcasted program information; a program information acquisition unit which acquires program information distributed from the server which receives the broadcasted program information; a holding unit which holds the received or acquired program information; and a control unit which makes the program information acquisition unit acquire the program information when the program information newly received by the program information receiving unit and the program information held by the holding unit are different. |
