PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve fuel consumption of a main engine by performig gonernor control according to marine meteorology.SOLUTION: By simulation, a propeller inflow rate is calculated, which takes into account a ship motion relative to the combination of a wave height, a wave period, a ship velocity relative to the water, a ship weight, and the like. A change in a main engine rotation speed is calculated from a change in the calculated propeller inflow rate, and a standard deviation σ thereof is obtained. The results are stored in a reference deviation database 16. Referring to the reference deviation database 16, standard deviations are found from the wave height, the wave period, the ship velocity relative to the water, and the ship weight, based on which an allowable rotation speed deviation ΔNt is calculated. In a control unit 14, PID control of a main engine 11 is performed, and multiple control modes with different gains are provided. The control mode of the control unit 14 is switched on the basis of comparison between a rotation speed deviation and the allowable rotation speed deviation ΔNt by a comparison unit 15. |
